What are cookies?
Cookies are files created by websites that you visit that store information such as site preferences, passwords etc. There are two types of cookies: First-party cookies are set by the site you are visiting and Third-party cookies that come from other domains (websites) such as adverts.
The reason for this change is that we have had a large number of members experiencing difficulty logging in because they either ignored the option to accept cookies or they declined cookies without realising that cookies were needed if they wanted to log into the members area.
EU Law states that a user needs be informed and accept cookies before any can be set but this causes such problems that even website such as the Information Commissioner's Office (www.ico.org.uk), The Government website (www.gov.uk) and the BBC (www.bbc.co.uk) have stopped doing this and have implemented a policy of implied concent.
Our website will set cookies from the time a user arrives. If you want to remove these cookies there are links below to information on how to remove and block cookies. However if you do remove and/or block cookies some areas of our website may not work for you and you will not be able to log into the members area of our website.
