Radlett & District U3A members

This month U3A has featured in the Metro Newspaper – the highest-circulation print newspaper in the UK

Maths for Grandparents at Radlett & District U3A, Hertfordshire was set up so third agers could learn new maths techniques to help their grandchildren with their homework.

The course follows a SAT textbook over a year tackling a different subject at each fortnightly meeting. Finally, the members work through the SATS test together, discussing each question.

Former policewoman Joan Miller who set up the course said, “We started off wanting to help our grand-children but we learnt so much about ourselves and the process of learning”.
