Hello Bridge players.

My name is Jack Rouse. I qualified as an EBU club director in 2012, and the following year became a member of the English Bridge Union Teaching Association (EBUTA).

I have access to teaching resources via the EBU teachers website and would be happy to assist anyone wishing to set up a bridge group.

Having taught mini-bridge at a local school, I would recommend this for beginners.

WHY PLAY BRIDGE?

Bridge is the most popular and challenging card game in the world. The combination of possible hands dealt are almost incalculable.

Playing bridge regular exercises the brain, and could delay the onset of dementia.

Bridge players live longer.

Bridge is fun!

The leader of the Hadleigh Castle U3A's Bridge Group has developed a website, which includes lessons and quizzes. It can be found at www.hadleighbridge.org.uk

u3a BRIDGE TOURNAMENTS

I have set up a national weekly online tournament open to all u3a bridge players, whatever the standard. Simply register with Bridgebase - Bridgebase.com (free) and contact me with your username and email address. There will be a small charge per session levied by BBO online.

Details of how to register and purchase BBO$ are explained on their website
