Questions and answers about the Third Age Trust AGM

When is the AGM?

The Third Age Trust AGM is on Wednesday 15 October 2025. The AGM starts at 11am and is expected to end around 1:30pm.


Where is the AGM taking place?

The AGM is a hybrid meeting where members can attend online or in person.

The venue for the in person event is:

How can members attend online?

Members can book to attend online via the following link.

One you have booked to attend online, you will be sent a confirmation email.

On the day of the AGM after you have entered your details on the login page, you will be sent a 6 digit code to verify your identity. Enter this code in the login page or click the link in the authentication email to join the AGM.

Voting delegates must use the same email address for booking to attend the AGM as used for registering to vote.


If a member is registered to vote on behalf of their u3a at the AGM, does mean they are also booked to attend the meeting?

No, registering to vote is completely separate to booking to attend online.

Voting delegates must book a place to attend online, as all voting takes place via the online platform.


Why have links to a Zoom meeting not been sent to members?

The AGM is not taking place on Zoom. A special website has been set-up for the AGM. To book to attend online, please click on the button below and follow the steps.


How can someone attend in person?

To attend in person, please book via the following link. There are a limited number of spaces available at the venue.

The deadline for booking to attend in person is 11am on Friday 10 October.


Questions about voting at the AGM

How does someone know if they are registered to vote at the AGM?

They should have received an email confirming they have registered to vote.


How can a member check they are registered to vote at the AGM?

Please note, registering to vote closes 48 hours before the AGM.  Members will not be able to register someone to vote on behalf of their u3a after 11am on Monday 13 October 2025.

You cannot register to vote on the day at the AGM. Registration to vote must be done in advance of the event.


What is the deadline to register to vote on behalf of a u3a?

Registering to vote closes 48 hours before the AGM. Members will not be able to register someone to vote after 11am on Monday 13 October 2025 or at the AGM.


What happens if a u3a has more than one vote, due to the size of its membership. Can they register more than one person to vote to use all their votes?

Only one person can be appointed to vote on behalf of a u3a. The number of votes a u3a has will be assigned automatically and allocated to the person registered to vote on behalf of the u3a.


How does a member vote if attending the AGM in person?

All voting at the AGM will be done online via the AGM website.  If a member is attending in person, they will still need to book a place to attend online.

To be able to vote they must also be the person registered to vote on behalf of their u3a.  This is done via the online voting registration form.

Registration must be completed at least 48 hours in advance of the AGM, the deadline is 11am on 13 October 2025.

Voting delegates must use the same email address at book to attend the AGM as they use to register to vote.  (The email address will be used to verify someone is eligible to vote.)

If attending in person as a voting delegate, members need to bring a web enabled, fully charged laptop or smart phone so that they can access the AGM website platform and be able to vote.  Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the AGM venue.
